Hi there! I'm Carly Colman (she/her). I am a second-year Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver through the Graduate School of Professional Psychology. I hold a bachelor’s in psychology & cognitive science from Marquette University and was also a member of the school’s Division I Women’s lacrosse team. I will receive my master’s degree from DU this summer (2023). While an undergrad, I worked on the Marquette Autism Project and assisted with PEERS ® groups. At this time, I also assist with neuropsychological evaluations for individuals with concerns about Alzheimer’s. Before attending DU, I worked as a clinical research assistant/coordinator at Boston Children’s Hospital, working with children and caregivers on research studies examining potential biomarkers of autism spectrum disorder. I completed my first-year externship at AllHealth Network, where I conducted evaluations for individuals placed on mental health holds and provided outpatient psychotherapy to court-ordered clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have worked in schools, inpatient medical and psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health centers. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples across a variety of presenting problems. I am thrilled to be training at Kimel Psychological Services and while expanding my skills in the field of assessment and psychotherapy. I will soon be working at Denver Health on an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, and hope to work in a children's hospital in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, coaching lacrosse, skiing, and reading.”
